Brief Description

Founded in 1875, the Nebraska Center for the Education of Children Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired serves children from birth to age 21. NCECBVI offers the expertise and specialized skills of the center's staff to blind, visually impaired and those with multiple disabilities in residential, day, and outreach settings. Services are provided to students, families, teachers, support staff, school districts, and educational service units upon request.

    • Serves as training site for University of Nebraska-Lincoln pre-service and in-service vision teacher program. Statewide staff development offerings.
