Brief Description

VisionServe Alliance's (formerly known as the National Council of Private Agencies for the Blind and Visually Impaired) purpose is to build and nurture a diverse core of future and current leaders within a healthy and vibrant network of private nonprofit organizations throughout the United States and Canada whose commitment is to enrich the lives of those living with vision loss and to remove the barriers to the pursuit of opportunities. VisionServe Alliance believes in high quality resources, equal opportunities, the right to choose appropriate and individualized services that are provided by appropriately trained and credentialed professionals, and in strong leadership.
VisionServe Alliance is a collaboration of 100 nonprofit organizations that provide vision rehabilitation services and resources to people who are blind or visually impaired, including adult rehabilitation, dog guide schools, employment services, low vision clinics, sports and recreation, braille production, pre-school and school aged services, and computer and assistive technology. VisionServe Alliance provides referrals to local services, information, and resources for people with vision loss.

Services Offered

  • Professional Training
    • Offers two executive training opportunities annually. Attendance is limited to the Executive Directors/CEOs of nonprofit organizations providing services to people who are blind or visually impaired.
