Brief Description

The Arkansas School for the Blind (ASB) is an academic and specialized school serving students who are blind and visually impaired from ages birth through grade 12. On-campus classes for residential or day students begin with pre-School and end with twelfth-grade graduation. Regular academic and specialized education, including the Expanded Core Curriculum for the Visually Impaired Student is taught by teachers who are certified in the core academic areas and in Teaching the Visually Impaired Child. An Infant Toddler Program begins from birth through age three with teachers traveling the state to bring educational activities to young children, their parents, daycare/schools and caregivers. ASB is fully accredited by the State of Arkansas and the North Central Association.
